One Rule to Rule Them All!

What if I told you that the Law of Attraction/Abundance isn’t about money or personal wealth? Would you walk away - rejected and unfulfilled? Would you become angry and unforgiving? Would you turn your back on the Law of Attraction - the same as any other faith? When the truth of the LOA is discovered, many people do exactly the same thing.

In the beginning, when the immutable laws came into being, neither money nor personal wealth was a thing. They did not exist. People did not exist. By default, the LOA is not a get rich quick model. It was never intended to be one.

The LOA is only one of twelve immutable laws that are integrated, and only reach their peak effectiveness when working in tandem with each other. But, none of them work without the Law of Oneness – self-actualized.

The Law of Oneness will rule your life, whether you want it to or not. It is the proverbial one ring to rule them all! The question is which side of the rule are you leaning on? The side that ascribes to truth, light and love; or the one that ascribes to deception, darkness and hate. There is an equal and opposite to everything – in every belief; even atheism.

It can’t happen if you don’t believe in it. That’s a common statement, yet, happens it does. For the sake of conversation, we are going to refer to the Law of Oneness as God, because it is my frame of reference, however, the same tenants can be found in every belief system in the world.

I’m going to be brutally honest here, so hang on to your knickers! There is NO gray area when it comes to the Law of Oneness. It just is - as it is, as it has always been, and as it always will be, not man nor beast can change the Law.
____________________________________________

In Plain English:

God said, “Greater is he that is in you than he who is in the world.”

Oh, that’s a powerful one right there! It is the basis of the Law of Oneness! God does not live in some galaxy far, far away. He does not look down at you from some heavenly throne in the middle of the Milky Way, watching from a distance.

The Scientist, Carl Sagan, said: “…we are made of star stuff.”

The Law of Oneness is just this: We are the all of everything, in all of its magnificent glory and splendor. The entire universe is within us. God is in us. We are spiritual beings – the holy and unblemished spiritual children of God. Without His being, we are not anything, but clay dolls for a Holy Child.

God is immutable. It is our perception of God that is mutable, by our thoughts, intents, and actions, or lack thereof.
____________________________________

The key to activating the Law of Attraction must begin with the Law of Oneness – fully self-actualized. There must be an internal immutable awareness of the Oneness of all that is, all that was, and all that ever will be.

The difference between believing and knowing:

It’s one thing to believe that God exists; however, it is quite another to know that God exists.

Believing is the first step: It is the acceptance of something as true. This is the mind aligning with the Law.

Knowing is the actualization of belief: The state of being aware. This is the mind/soul and spirit aligning with the Law.
____________________________________________

Gaining the Desired Results:

Now that we understand the difference between believing and knowing, we realize that simply believing something doesn’t make it so.

Just believing the LOA can attract abundance and personal wealth, in and of itself, will not produce the desired results.

The source of all things is the Oneness. If you have no knowing of belief, you have nothing except that which your perception allows.

Magick as the world has come to know it is futile and mutable. We can certainly create temporary reality, based on the other eleven immutable laws, but without the one rule to rule them all, everything under the sun is meaningless.

The Devil is in the Details

Lily stays sitting. “Frances. What if Ambrose is the Devil?” “He’s not the Devil. I know who the Devil is and it isn’t Ambrose.” “Who’s the Devil?” Frances crouches down as if she were talking to Trixie. “That’s something I’ll never tell you, Lily, no matter how old you get to be, because the Devil is shy. It makes him angry when someone recognizes him, so once they do the Devil gets after them. And I don’t want the Devil to get after you.” “Is the Devil after you?” “Yes.”

~ Fall on Your Knees; Ann-Marie MacDonald

Every life that has ever been lived has had a companion that travels along the path unseen; wanted or unwanted. Fall on Your Knees by Canadian playwright Ann-Marie MacDonald is not for the faint of heart, nor the casual reader. The story takes the reader into depths of humanity that are smothering and dark, yet in perfect harmony lifts them into the light once again.

The irony of the story about the Piper family is that it begins in the late 1890s and ends in the fullness of the Industrial Age of the 20s. Yet, it could take place in all its glory even today with events surrounding child marriage, racism, religiosity, family secrets, forbidden love, and a host of others in this 500+ page compilation of the human experience.

The book is filled with literal metaphors, as well as figurative. As we delve into the lives of the three Piper sisters, and how all things came to be in the end, we discover that the devil is in the details.

Over the years of my life, I have seen the devil on more than one occasion. As a child I watched him prattle on at the end of the tongues of many a gossip, encouraging others to believe the lies he portrayed as truth. Ah yes, the devil has made liars of many a man and woman. I have seen him revel in the throes of rage between two races that clash time and time again. He is still reveling in this today. I have seen his haughtiness in the eyes of an addict. Look deep into the soulless depths of a far-gone addict’s eyes and there you will see him triumphant. I have borne witness to the hopelessness of a child who stands along with its parent at the corners of Hunger and Want. There is nothing greater to disparage the soul of a parent than to feel as though you have failed innocence.

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” ~ Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

In Fall on Your Knees, the idea of a physical devil lurking somewhere in the mists of Cape Breton, or perhaps trolling along with Kathleen in New York City is an ever present, yet indiscernible theme.

The only question left with the reader at the end of this story is “Who is the devil?” Hint: It’s a figurative question.

Through literature we learn to live, to love, and to conquer!

Chrysalis: Torn Wings...Coming Soon!

The na hÉireann men of science, forced to work with the Daoine Réalta, must discover the secrets of The Butterfly Fields before all of Johnsport is lost; and indeed the world. At the edge of the canyons, the armies of the world prepare for a battle of which they have no knowledge how to fight; or win.

Standing at the edge of The Butterfly Fields, fierceness fills the breast - fear is the true enemy. Or, so they believe. Coming face to face with the Emperor, who now rules the heart and mind of The Butterfly Fields, shall truly tell the tale of what is fear, and what is terror.

In the skies above Johnsport shines a star that seems to grow in size and brilliance with each passing day. Is it a sign from He Who Created All Things, or an omen of the days foretold in the Great Book of All Things? The seasons are out of season, famine has swept the land, and a plague of fear has engulfed the Lowlands.

The only hope for the world is the power held between the two McCormick sisters. A power they have kept hidden in the elusive fields of butterflies. The na hÉireann men of science must find the source of this power, and the Daoine Réalta an explanation. The answer to the question must be found - Does He Who Created All Things exist or does He not?

Monday Musings: The Butterfly Fields - A Summary

I have never been beyond the road's end. I know not what it is that lies over the horizon. Elder Morton has traveled many lands throughout the world over and tells many tales. These are the things I must know; I must understand.

My fingers have turned the pages of near ev'ry book upon the shelves in the library of Johnsport. It is the Great Library of Alnae which holds all that my heart desires. All the most learned men and women of the world have studied at Alnae. I too wish to attend the College of Alnae, yet I have ne'er been beyond the road's end. It would be the most wonderous occasion of my entire life to see this magnificent city of Alnae with all the treasures it keeps. Mhathair must let me go.

My dear sister, Annalicia, has created such a beauteous land of imagination and wonder just beyond the manor gates that lead to the canyons. Many happy days have been spent among the butterflies and creatures of the meadow. Princess Aria and Annalicia the Lovely have escaped near ev'ry scoundrel and bandit to ever dare embark on such an endeavor as to plunder The Butterfly Fields. Nay, not one has e'er conquered these fields of butterflies; no darkness has ever creeped within the boundaries. Nay, not even the men of science have laid eyes upon our land. It is here we escape the atrocities of Johnsport. It is here we find freedom, safety, and sanity.

It is said in the worship house of Johnsport that He Who Created All Things is a great and wondrous God. But of this God, I have seen no miraclous deeds of mercy, or compassion; only misery and death. There is naught in Johnsport that evidences the concern of He Who Created All Things. The men of science have left their marks upon the children without regard to the will of He Who Created All Things. I, myself, bear these markings, and it is only a matter of time before they come for Annalicia. She shall be safe in The Butterfly Fields. They know not where to find these fields of butterflies. They shall ne'er know. They shall seek until the end of days, yet the entrance they shall ne'er find.

It is just there beyond the road's end where He must be found. If He is not to be found there then He is not to be found at all. With Annalicia safely hidden in The Butterfly Fields, I must travel this road alone. I shall make search of He Who Created All Things and save us both; perhaps Johnsport itself. Mhathair and Seanmhathair must release me of the family obligations that I might make journey to the College of Alnae. A library with holdings as such the travelers have told tales must be magnificent. In this library of all the world, the answer is surely to be found. He Who Created All Things is surely to be there among the books. I shall return for Annalicia only when I have found that which we have searched for our entire lives. The very thing which shall save us both.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you have enjoyed this week's preview into The Butterfly Fields.
The cover design for The Butterfly Fields is finished. I'm pretty excited about that. I have to make the final finishing touches to the manuscript before publishing. Until then, I will continue to publish teasers here to satisfy your curiosity. These are not actual exerpts from the series. They are summaries.
The Chrysalis Series is a triology. Book One: The Butterfly Fields; Book Two: Torn Wings; and Book Three: Monarch.
After the departure of the former muse known as Cowboy Bob, the titles of the books were reconsidered and changed as appropriate. :)
Simply Saturday: The Butterfly Fields Update
I have been working night and day on The Butterfly Fields, Book One in The Chrysalis Series. I was hoping for a summer release, but I do not think that is going to happen. I want to explain why that is to my faithful blog readers and Tweeps.
The Butterfly Fields is something that is near and dear to my heart. It is not an autobiography, but many of the events which occur in the story are loosely related to my own life with poetic license and embellishments, and some of it is deeply entrenched into the life I once knew.
The Butterfly Fields is not your typical run-of-the-mill hurry up and get it out sort of story. It has many complexities that cannot be rushed or they will lose their meanings and purpose. The characters must be developed in such a way emotions and connections are evoked in the reader, or the understanding is lost. This is a series of books that span the life of a young girl living in the dark ages, yet can be related to on many levels by readers of today.
I think any fantasy author writing about the ultimate battle of good vs evil, on some level, is forced to face the darknesses that have lived in their own life. I could be wrong. For me, The Butterfly Fields is rather therapeutic in nature. As I move through the phases of the lives of Annalicia and Elsie, I wander through The Butterfly Fields of my own youth. Bit of trivia about the story: The Butterfly Fields were a real place in my history. They were not what they are in the book, but they were indeed real to me and my next oldest sister in our youth. They were a land of imagination, where many adventures were afoot. They were a place of freedom, safety, and sanity within the harsh environment surrounding us. We were children in the midst of the recession, the cold war, and cultural clashes within our own community.
I discovered in my adventures in The Butterfly Fields, when a person feels powerless, degraded, unwanted, and most assuredly unloved, they will go in search of these things. If they have no basis in any love at all, there is one who will make sure these things are found within the world. We don't like to talk about it. We don't like to acknowledge it, but it is a universal truth that we must accept: In all things there is an equal and opposite. It is as real today as it was in the Garden of Eden in the beginning. It's the whole reason we are in this miserable existence in the first place. I am pretty sure, but I'm no expert, and none of us are special in our circumstances, but I am pretty sure, it is the whole reason Jesus said: "Love one another as I have loved you."
I feel compelled to clarify what I mean by the equal and opposite. It does not mean that the devil is the equal and opposite of God. I mean that darkness is the equal and opposite to light as good is to evil, and love is to hate.
Within love there is mercy, compassion, and hope. Without the experience of these three primary needs of the human being, we are lost among the tyranny of the darkness ever destined to cling to the world rather than to the Ultimate Love. We find our worth and value defined by the world in which we live. Do we make enough money? Are we working in the right career? Do we have enough stuff? Do we have enough power? Are we thin enough? Are we pretty enough? Do we meet the expectations of the world? Are we acceptable? When the answer to any of these questions is 'No', then we begin the quest to make these things the truths of our lives, by any means necessary; even at the cost of the detriment of another - even ourselves.
I am a natural introvert and highly sensitive to that which surrounds me. I assess every situation through association or disassociation as the need arises. As I developed the character of Elsie McCormick, youngest of the McCormick Clan, she is like me in many ways. I discovered something about me in her development: I used to look at my association and disassociation as a negative, when in reality it is the one thing that allows me to think outside of the box.
Without the mercy, compassion, and hope of love it is easy to find ourselves stuck inside the box created by the world. There is no room in this box for the idea that there is more to our existence than the confines of the tangible. When we begin our quest to make the expectations of the world the truths of our reality, we slowly begin to create our own confining prison of tyranny where we, and we alone, are the warden. Only we can go to the Governor of All to seek pardon. For me, this requires both association and disassociation. I must recognize from inside the box there is another possibility, another plausible means, to exist free from the tyranny of the darkness of my world. I must disassociate myself from the world for a moment, allowing me the opportunity to associate with that which lies outside of walls of the prison I have created. This is not a one time deal. This is something that I have to do repeatedly, on a daily basis.
After many years of living with a plague of misery, I can finally breathe. I cannot yet fly, I am simply moving forward one step at a time and breathing...breathing is good. When I can breathe, I can write, and when I can write...I can live.
Simply Saturday: The Powers that Be
I have been working hard on 'The Chrysalis Series' these past weeks; traveling to and from the Butterfly Fields, creating two worlds that exist simultaneously. Creating two worlds that collide every day for many of us. The worlds of good and evil.
Living in the world today is akin to living in the devil's kingdom. It is easy for us to see all the power and might of the evil forces that seem to rule the day. Seem to... Sometimes it is easy for us to fall under the illusions of the evil, accepting them as nothing more than the coolest, newest fad that will allow us to take control of our lives in an unrelenting, unyielding world that always desires to consume us to our very core. To the dismay of many, there are no werewolves, vampires, fairies, or the like in 'The Chrysalis Series'. It is a different sort of fantasy series. It is the type of fantasy that delves into the realities of the powers that be: Good and Evil. It is a battle to the end; from the canyons carved by the great river, through the Butterfly Fields, and straight into the village of Johnsport.
The story follows a young commoner, Elsie McCormick, and her sister, Annalicia, as they struggle to find the thing that will save them both from the autrocities propogated by the inhabitants of Johnsport. Two cultures surviving together; yet separately.
The McCormicks bear the burden of Annalicia's condition. A condition that could bring complete annihilation upon the village of Johnsport and the world. A condition she inherited from her father, Neville, a hideous, violent man - an outsider.
Elsie's only wish and desire, to learn all the things the world has to offer, is the very desire that will send her down a dark and insiduous path, which only leads back to The Butterfly Fields; to Johnsport. Elsie bears the scars and markings inflicted by the villagers. She is not a warrior, her only strength lies in the confines of her mind.
Sometimes our deepest prayers are answered. Sometimes the answer isn't what we thought it was; or from the source we think it is. 'The Chrysalis Series' a journey through illusion, infatuation, manipulation, and into the battlegrounds of Good and Evil; a battleground where mere humans possess more power and might than any foe.
Coming soon...
The Realism of Characters
I am the analytical reader and writer. Everything I read is thoroughly analyzed for realism. With that said, it should be a given that everything I write is also analyzed for realism.
I'm often questioned by young people, who are also aspiring to be authors, why can't characters just be whatever you want them to be or do whatever you want them to. The answer is quite simple - if the character is not believable then the story is not believable. If the story is not believable it will not sell. Today, although many readers are reading for escapism, they still require a certain degree of realism in order to be able to relate to the characters and the events that occur in the story.
My first finished full-length novel, "Sticks and Bones" is written with a stark dose of realism to drive home a point to young people. I won't give a story spoiler here, but in order to write for young people they need to be able to see themselves in the story. Not always as they are in their own real life, but even as they might be in a fantasy story. "Sticks and Bones", a mystery crime thriller for young adults, required a certain amount of realism regarding high school students of today and why they do what they do in order to spark the interest of young people.
It was a fascinating adventure spanning four years immersed in the world of high school students of today so that I could demonstrate that realism in the book. This, in itself, is a testament to why characters can't just be what you want them to be. In this particular case they had to be as real as the reader and the friends of the reader. The characters of the book and their worlds are easily identified in the lives of the readers. A young adult will be able to say, "That sounds just like so-and-so," a person well-known to themselves. At the same time, I had to create adult characters that were just as realistic as the high school students of the story. If I had not created these realistic characters neither adults or young adults would understand the crime and why it occured thus diminishing the point of the book.
"Sticks and Bones" has yet to be published, however, I am hopeful that it will be picked up by a traditional publishing house and disseminated across the world. As arrogant as it might sound, I feel that the message carried in this book will send it soaring to the top of the readers lists all around the world.
The novel I am currently working on, "The Ten Thousand Hands Project" will astound even the most critical or skeptical reader. It is a work of fiction that has a very real place in the world in which we live. It will cause readers the world over to take pause and question what they honestly believe to be true in the world and what they don't. Why? Because of the realistic nature of the characters. Building characters is difficult. Characters require knowing everything about them - what they like or don't like and why they do or don't like those things; what are their physical attributes as well as their psychological attributes and how do each of these connect with the world in which they live - a world that must be created by the author with just as much realism as the characters themselves.
"The Ten Thousand Hands Project" is the prequel to the series, "The Malakai Chronicles". There are fantasy books, books on the occult, books based on religious history - but there are few books out there that touch the subject matter in "The Ten Thousand Hands Project" or "The Malakai Chronicles". I am hopeful for publication with this series as well and know that it will take the reader world by storm.
